This project is a nice example of creating high quality Architectural Visualization renderings from existing 2D CAD plans. When studio.d began working on this project the Client had already completed a set of 2D CAD drawings. The existing CAD geometry was imported into SketchUp and a 3D model was quickly generated. This model was then used to complete photo-realistic renderings. Take a look at the David Foster Architects website for images of the completed 61st Ave SW project (aka the ‘Alki Residence).
